BAL BULLIER was a mid-nineteenth century cabaret-ballroom created by Francois Bullier. Located in the 5th Arrondissement, it was popular for dancing and drinking. This poster is dated by Cheret as 1887-88 which may (or may not) be interesting; but there are two versions of the poster. In the version offered here the central figure is wearing a red dress; in the other version she wears a yellow dress.
This poster shows some evidence of restoration along on original fold line (before recent linen baccking).
