The Chansonniers of Monmartre performing every night at 10:30 / We are all at the Trianon.
The Trianon opened in 1895 as one of the first music halls in Paris. This poster, from 1897, celebrates these prominent singer/performers who appeared as the theater was completely refurbished. It is interesting that in a poster for the Trianon the upper left corner includes an image of the Moulin Rouge. Also, the portrait at the bottom right looks suspiciously like the artist himself. He is winking at us. Is he enjoying his own joke?
